Here’s a method to recover that forgotten password but requires some preparations.

Windows & Password Reset Disk is what you need. Haven’t made it before? No worries, here’s a step by step guide to do that to.

Step 1: Download the Windows Password Recovery Tool

Go to the Windows Password Recovery Tools Official site and download it for free, install with default options.

Step 2: Creating Windows 7 Password Reset Disk

Run the software > insert a blank CD/DVD/USB Flash Drive what ever you want to burn it on > follow the step by step prompts of the software to burn the disk >  when burning is complete, you have your password recovery disk.

Insert it in the locked system.

Step 3: Now the Process begins

Set the bios configuration to boot from your created media CD/DVD/USB.

Here’s how…

Boot the locked windows & PC, press Del/F2 button whilw system is initializing, you are in bios configuration screen now. Goto Boot Menu > Change Bios settings to boot from your CD/DVD/USB.

Press F10 to save changes made and reboot the PC.

After reboot computer will automatically load the Recovery Tool

Choose Windows 7 installation if more than one OS in installed on the PC. All the users of Windows 7 will be listed, select the user you forgot the password of and click Reset button

Dialog box will pop up to confirm the reset, click Yes, Windows 7 ‘s selected users password will be reset to Blank

Eject the disk, reboot the PC, login without the password.
